Hello, I'm Maritza Mejia, a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and the owner of LI Beauty Bar Aesthetics, a med spa located in Smithtown, NY. With a deep passion for aesthetics, I am dedicated to helping my patients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. It brings me immense satisfaction to witness the positive impact that aesthetic nursing can have on self-esteem and overall quality of life. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Cum Laude honors from Stony Brook University, and in 2023, I graduated from USU as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I have had the privilege of working in the hospital setting, where I dedicated myself to helping others. During my time in the hospital, I gained invaluable experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing critical care to patients and their families. In addition to my work in the hospital, I find joy in teaching and sharing knowledge. I am a faculty member at Empire Medical Training, where I have the opportunity to help individuals who aspire to enter the aesthetics world. Empowering others to pursue their passions in aesthetics is a true privilege for me. My commitment to excellence drives me to help my patients achieve their aesthetic goals and enhance their self-confidence.
